Our firm in HongKong has applied to the Governor requesting that the extension of the period of the Lease to be granted for the land covered by Marine Lot No. 3 should also be made to apply to Inland Lot No. 6, which we had to purchase shortly after we had secured M.L. No.3, as it was found that the first piece was not sufficiently large for the undertaking.
As we understand that the matter has been refer- red to the decision of Mr. Secretary Chamberlain, we would ask you to once more grant our Senior an interview, when he would lay before you our reasons for thinking that the extension should apply to the second purchase as well as
to the first.
He could call any day and hour that would be
convenient to yourself.
